How to Select the right Perfume when looking for a new scent from a Perfume Shop

Here are some tips to help you;

1. Dont make a decision for selecting a perfume based on the ingredients of the perfume.

A perfume contains several ingredients don't be moved by a couple ingredient because you may later find out you don't like the smell of the base note.

2. Perfumes don't smell differently on different skin types.

Perfumes only smell different from person to person only when there's another body product on the person such as body splash, moisturizer e.t.c so before you go to a Perfume shop to test a new Perfume make sure you have no other body products on your skin.

3. Try not to test perfumes on your wrists

Since most people put on watches , jewelry and other metallic bracelets, it can cause a perfume to smell differently.

 its best you try a perfume on top of your arm and it helps you to easily smell it all day.

4. When testing a perfume on a blotting paper wait for it to settle completely before smelling it.

Allow the perfume to dry on the blotting paper for all the notes to settle down, you can keep the paper in an enclosed place like your bag for some minutes and then smell it later.

5. When testing perfumes from one to the other, make sure you get rid of  some of the strong notes you smelled before and give your senses sometime before trying another perfume.
